And We're Off!

So, last weekend was the official start of my wedding season. I told all of my friends that if they wanted to hang out with me, to call me in November. The next several months are going to be non-stop, with almost every weekend between now and October having at least one wedding. This isn't even including engagement sessions, bridals, and oh yeah, school. I am so thrilled about this year thus far between the new equipment I have had a chance to get my hands on, to my new editing processes, to all of the awesome brides that I have had the chance to book. It's going to be a fun one and I am looking forward to it. Well, the kickoff this year started with a bang. Below are some of the shots that I picked out while backing them up this morning. The bride is actually having a wedding in Brazil and had one here in Dallas for the groom's side of the family. The rules during the ceremony were sort of dissapointing: I had to stand behind the last pew and was not allowed to use a flash. The flash was not that big of an issue for me since I have great lenses, but standing in the back killed me. I wanted to be able to get closer to get the expressions on the bride and groom, especially since I knew the bride was going to be emotional during the ceremony. Alas, I had no choice but to do as I was told. Here are just a few of em (and always, take a look at my portfolio for a more detailed explanation of each photo):
